With 32 years of expansive construction experience, I am well versed in national, BC and many local codes, having established a successful career spanning California, Florida, Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona and northern New York State. As a Superintendent I define my work responsibilities as: Verifying all accuracy of workmanship and quality from all sub-contractors on the job site, utilizing lasers to check all elevations and Pythagorean formulas to check accuracy of all stairs and square of a building to within an 1/8 of an inch. Meshing years of working experience and knowledge of various state codes and the UBC code to coincide with all prints and shop drawings. Requesting all inspections by City, State, Fire Marshalls, EPA and special inspections of seismic/compaction/steel & concrete. Clarify all issues, misunderstandings or ambiguous information, or lack thereof, through RFI's and drawings created to correct a problem, obtaining architect/engineer stamped approval prior to implementation. Supervising all sequence, safety and security. Scheduling and monitoring all subs on their mobilization schedule with a three week look ahead schedule as well as the Main Building Schedule. Working very closely with the PM on the budget and monitoring change orders issued due to missing items in the original prints. Keeping (DFR) Daily Field Reports of all activities on the job site, including weather, number of Foremen and sub-contractor workers, shipments, issues and other activities. Keeping a firm grip on the work quality and speed of the job by keeping strict watch and performing regular walk-throughs and maintaining a good dialog with all my subs. I have extensive computer skills in Microsoft Project, Expedition 10.0, Primavera Systems, Timberland, American Contractor and Project mates just to name a few.
Project Management:
Here is a brief description of some responsibilities: Review general conditions, specifications and contractual obligations; ordered equipment, supplies and material according to specs; posted prints & specs on the building exchange; contacted subs, verified sub's Insurance, Bonding, Licensing, manpower & experience; issued bid directives, scope of work and specs for subs to review; issued Letters of Intent & contracts, either AIA or custom; formatted and documented Percentage of Values at each stage of completion. Designed main CPM Schedule. Established cost and control of budget. All paperwork from commencement of work to closeout including OC.

Coordinated activities of subcontractors and company personnel to successfully construct numerous speculation and turnkey projects. Scope of projects included plot layout, excavation and grading, foundations, concrete and masonry, framing, drywall, tile setting, flooring, cabinetry, window and door casework, interior and exterior trim, exterior sheathing, fencing, decks, and roofing, Enforced all OSHA and CAL-OSHA safety regulations
Project Superintendent 2007 - 2008
Simac Construction, Incorporated Tulare, California
7 month project from August 2007 to March 2008. Project Superintendent for a nationwide general contracting company. Local project consisted of a ground up, 14,000 square foot pharmaceutical retail space on a 4 acre site with all civil utilities to include an 800 amp main, drive through Diebold transport tube system, single membrane roof, steel bar joist and decking, 1 - 15 ton and 2 - 8 ton air handling units, walk-in cooler, Stanley pneumatic doors and furniture, fixtures and equipment.

WDG Construction & Development, Incorporated San Francisco, California
6 month project from January 2007 to August 2007. Project Manager for a premier commercial/industrial contractor and developer that serves the continental United States. TI project included a $2 million dollar 13,000 square foot, steel frame commercial space.
Oversee all on-site project activity to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with engineering design. Perform pre-inspection of all trades to ensure conformance with approved designs/plans. Coordinate and communicate between field, designers and client. Approve sub-contractor and vendor invoices. Ensure that construction plans are in agreement with customer expectations and identify points at which contractual obligations will have been met.
Lead Superintendent 2006 - 2007
M.S. Walker & Associates, Incorporated Fresno, California
1 year project from January 2006 to January 2007. Lead Superintendent for a premier Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Service Firm serving the Western United States. $50 million dollar , 5 acre, all-inclusive hotel construction project for Marriott and Hilton.
Provided on-site management/quality control to ensure projects met time and budget requirements and were built in accordance with contract documents. Coordinated and scheduled subcontractors and suppliers. Worked closely with architects and engineers in reviewing drawings and specifications. Scheduled, conducted and participated in project meetings. Monitored cost control/coding and payroll. Prepared budgets, estimates, bids, proposals, schedules, contracts, subcontracts, and work scopes. Negotiated subcontract agreements, change orders and general contracts with clients.

Wright Brothers Rio Rico, Arizona
11 month project from February 2004 to January 2005. Responsible for a $7 million dollar, Federally funded, 200 unit, multi-family housing development. All wood frame construction with pool and hospitality office with 2 hour fire rating per Fire Marshall. Took corrective action as needed during projects. Managed subcontractors and vendors/suppliers, scheduled inspections. Coordinated proposed changes in design with consultants and construction manager while maintaining schedule and budget. Reviewed, recommended and approved all construction change requests, on-site change orders and pay requests.

Nation Mark Inc Jacksonville, Florida
In charge of a $5 million dollar, 5 acre convenience/gas station. Coordinated with EPA regarding installation of protective catch basin, valley gutter run-off, gas tank installation and gas supply lines to pumps at each phase of completion and with city, county and state inspectors. Large, steel canopy constructed over pumps. On-site car wash with three-stage tank.

Superintendent for a privately held commercial design and building company. $6 million dollar, multi-unit rehab project of 10 buildings, 120 units. Demolition of condo's/multi-family units. Refurbished water and termite damage from exterior to interior. Brought up to current code.
